The weather is getting hot, but so is the fishing on Lake Oconee. The Oconee Crappie fishing is at its best right now. We are dipping in the numerous trees that are all over the lake and it is the proverbial “fishing in a barrel” as the Crappie are hanging tight to the trees. The Lake Oconee Striper bite is just as good in the morning but with a little twist. We are throwing artificial lures at schooling fish and it is not unusual to boat 20 or more before 10:00 am.
