The Oconee Crappie have showed in the annual winter time spots and it appears this will be one of the best seasons we have had in a long time. The size of the fish are incredible, the numbers are great, and a recent study from the DNR tells us that we have the healthiest crappie population than any other GA lake. It is good to be a guide on Lake Oconee. We are long line trolling and spider rigging on most days and it is not unusual to put several fish in the boat that will top 2 pounds.
