Lake Oconee Fishing report: It has started! The gulls have arrived, the water has cooled and the stripers and crappie are doing their thing. This is our most favorite time of the year and it is the official start of our season. Lake Oconee anglers are catching a lot of stripers every morning on artificial baits, with some mornings the count can go over 50 fish. The Oconee crappie is beginning to do their thing over the tops of timber and long line trolling is producing some really good fish. Give us a call to book your trip! You won’t be disappointed.
