March is when the big bass go to spawn on Lake Oconee. The water has hit that magical number of 63 degrees and romance is on their minds. Some of the biggest largemouth I have seen have come out of Oconee’s turbid water in the past 2 years, and this year is promising to be as good. It starts now, and after spawn we work the docks and then the shad spawn and more aggressive fish. The huge bass bite is underway on Lake Oconee.
